Triumph in a long inaugural team time trial with a speed of over 51.5 km/h

I Vuelta Ciclista Toledo Imperial
Stage 1: Mazarambroz – Mazarambroz (21 km TTT)

The premiere of the Vuelta a Toledo Imperial took place this Friday with a team time trial in which the U23 structure of the Contador Foundation won with a time of 24’15”, a reference that improved the records set by Previley-Maglia-Conforma, which would finish at 41 seconds, and by Brocar-Alé, at 48″.

The squad led by Rafa Díaz Justo, who had to manage a mechanical problem with the powerful Gabriele Raccagni, was the penultimate team to start their participation in a course where they would ride at an average speed of 51.5 km/h.  Manuel Oioli is the first leader of the race, which finally started half an hour later than planned.

For this Saturday, a long stage in line that will cross the Montes de Toledo, with the Alto del Robledillo and its aesthetic horseshoes in the middle of the route, and a hilly finish. A very important first day on the line in this renaissance of the event.
