The Copa de España junior is back with its appointment at the Cursa Ciclista del Llobregat

The Team Polti VisitMalta U19 faces the return of the Copa de España junior with the Catalan appointment of the Cursa Ciclista del Llobregat, between Navas and Sant Boi, with the third race of the competition at the beginning of the summer.

There are 112 kilometres of route that the cyclists will complete this Sunday in a straight and downhill race, from the inland towards the Llobregat valley. The climbs of Vacarisses (km 58) and Ullastrell (km 82) will be the most demanding points in search of victory.

The team’s squad for this event calls Óscar Orts, who has shown a good pedal stroke in the colours of the Spanish junior team; Leo Ucher, Jaume Barceló, the best placed in the overall classification of the Copa de España in 13th place with 45 points; Matteo Compagnoni, Nacho Sanchez, Ricardo Giner, Jorge Torrijos and Adrián Martínez.

Isaac Cantón, sports director: “The goal this Sunday is to continue scoring points to keep the fight for the Copa de España overall. But we will also focus on fighting for the victory in Sant Boi, as it is a race that suits us. Names like Jaume Barceló, who was already in front in the Gran Premio Montemayor and is close to the top-10 overall, or Óscar Orts, will surely be in the fight”.
