Rodrigo Sánchez

Rodrigo has had memories of cycling for as long as he can remember. When he was a child he never left home without his bike, when he was three years old he started cycling and I already liked riding in the mountains. ‘In my neighbourhood there was a cycling school run by the Madrid Federation, my parents signed me up and it was paradise. But soon after I started, we went to live in the United States and although I rode my bike there, it wasn’t until I returned to Spain that I started to compete’, he explains. They bought him a cyclo-cross bike, which he also used with road tyres. When he was a cadet, he started travelling, competing in the Spanish Cup and always studying, both at school and the violin, which he has had to put aside due to the coincidence of rehearsals and competitions. His idol Carlos Rodríguez. His way of running, his intelligence and humility are references. Rodrigo’s favourite place is the Pyrenees.
