Gabriele Raccagni

A fast and resilient rouleur from Collebeato, near Brescia, Gabriele inherited his cycling DNA from his grandfathers Bruno and Francesco who rode regularly: “I’ve always been drawn to bikes, finally at 8 years old I joined a team: Aspiratori Otelli, where I spent almost ten years. After that, I raced my first Junior year with LVF and my second with Feralpi, before moving to the U23 ranks with the Fundación Contador.” During almost three U23 seasons Gabriele showcased an unmistakable racing style across Italian and Iberian calendars, defined by tenacity and endurance in service of the team, coming close to victory on a couple of occasions. These valuable qualities earned him a promotion to the ProTaam last August, even before the end of 2024. His performances in Limousin and Croatia validated the faith placed in him by the sports directors of the current Team Polti VisitMalta. He has three sisters (Veronica, Chiara, Marta) and is the third oldest sibling. Outside of cycling, he follows football (a Brescia fan) and Formula 1 (a Ferrari fan), and his dream race is Milan-San Remo: among the Monuments, it’s the one with the long, mostly flat course that suits him best.
