Aitor Martínez
Junior
When he was 7 years old, Aitor went out on his father’s bike to do a very tough 10-kilometre route through Ripoll. On a climb, his father warned him that he didn’t think he could do the whole effort, but Aitor even attacked him, although he didn’t manage to beat him. That was when he decided he wanted to be a cyclist, first on mountain bike and now on the road. As a cadet he was in Team Torrent and CC Sant Boi. His favourite terrain is the mountains, his cycling idol is Alaphilippe and Alberto Contador, and the food he loves is his grandmother’s cannelloni. Aitor studies Business Management and Administration and his ideal place is Platja d’Aro in Girona.
