Montemayor, second race of the Copa de España for Team Polti VisitMalta U19

Polti VisitMalta U19 will face this Sunday in Andalusia the Gran Premio Montemayor. A competition over 134 kilometres in which they will try to keep the top-10 in the general classification of the Copa de España and climb positions, at the same time that they look for the partial triumph of the race.
Gonçalo Rodrigues, Aitor Martinez, Óscar Orts, Jaume Barceló, Nacho Sánchez, who is already recovered from his fall in San Vicente del Raspeig; Adrián Martínez, Javier Muñoz and Iván Estévez are called to compete in the Gran Premio Montemayor.

The 134 kilometres of the course will be a hilly terrain with 2 laps of 66 kilometres, with the climb of Llanos del Espinar and the sprints in Montilla. Numerous breakaways and the strongest cyclists who can make their way through will mark a day that will also be marked by the weather.
Isaac Cantón, sports director: ‘This second race of the Copa de España is tough in terms of distance and gradient. We’re keeping an eye on the weather, we’re going with a strong group with the idea of being able to move well in the race. We will try to keep the general classification of the Copa de España with Óscar Orts but at the same time fight for the victory in Montemayor with riders like Jaume, Gonçalo or Fran Moscoso’.
