Béjar and Guijuelo, two races for the Team Polti VisitMalta U19

After the debut in the Spanish Cup and the participation in the UCI race of San Vicente del Raspeig, the junior team of Team Polti VisitMalta faces the double appointment in Béjar and Guijuelo that gives continuity to the competition calendar and where they will try to repeat the success achieved last year.

There will be two races in which the weather is expected to be difficult. The cold above all, but also the forecast of rain, will condition the development of the two days that will take place in the heart of the Sierra de Béjar. On Saturday, 72 kilometres will be completed with the finish at the Cuesta de los Perros in the town of Bejar after overcoming two 2nd category climbs. On Sunday, in Guijuelo, 92.5 kilometres will be ridden with a single hill climb in which the riders will try to confirm the classifications of the previous day and win the stage.

The team selected to face this double appointment is composed by Anxo Delgado, Leo Ucher, Fran Moscoso, Gonçalo Rodrígues, Adrián Martínez, Jorge Torrijos, Javier Muñoz and Iván Estevez. A team that sports director Isaac Cantón is confident in: ‘It’s going to be a demanding weekend due to the weather, but we are motivated to try to repeat last year’s success. For several of our riders it will be the debut, I think it is a strong team with Rodrigues and Ucher as referents to look for the victory in a tough terrain that suits us’.
