Pablo García Francés

When Pablo García, nicknamed ‘Garchu’, had lost hope of becoming a professional, after his time with the Caja Rural Devo Team and a period of stagiaire with BAI Sicasal; Polti Kometa U23 and specifically its director Rafa Díaz Justo made a call that was going to change his future. The confidence that they gave him and the renewed illusion have allowed him to sign an enormous season with triumphs in the Vuelta a Extremadura, the Spanish Cups of Padrón and Vigo, or the Circuito Montañés. In fact, his most stellar performance was in the elite Spanish Championships, where with 2 kilometres to go he was in the group with the professionals who were going to compete for the absolute podium, and he was the only rider in his category. But a hard fall, including a broken collarbone, put an end to what had been shaping up to be a great success. Without losing the support and confidence of the team, he managed to come back even stronger to win the Vuelta a Galicia and confirm his jump to the professional ranks for 2025. Garchu is undoubtedly a long-distance rider, who is perfect in quality breakaways with finishes where he can impose his top speed. He loves to eat his grandfmother’s cocido madrileño with a good salad, and to escape to the mountains with his friends to disconnect.
